The Journal of Global Optimization publishes carefully refereed papers dealing with every theoretical computational and applicational aspect of global optimization. In a global optimization problem global optima are sought although local optima different from the global one exist. Optimization is understood in the widest sense including for example nonlinear stochastic and combinatorial programming multiobjective programming control games geometry and approximation as well as nonlinear systems algorithms for parallel architectures etc. Besides research articles and expository papers on theory and algorithms of global optimization papers on numerical experiments and on applications in engineering management and the sciences are welcome. Journal of Global Optimization explicitly invites submissions dealing with (possibly unsolved) problems arising from applications. Short communications on open and solved global optimization problems will be published in a Problems Section. The journal will also publish reviews of appropriate books and special issues of journals.
